DEVELOPMENT ENGINEER MECHANICAL ENGINEERING (M/F/D)
ABOUT US
We are a tech startup developing manufacturing systems for efficient production close to the consumer.
To achieve this, we combine flexibly configurable production lines, standardized manufacturing modules, and autonomous shuttles via an end-to-end cloud-first architecture. This creates flexible manufacturing with a high level of vertical integration – with sustainability as part of the concept.
We develop both the production systems and the products created on them: cooler boxes and combination ladders. We think of products and manufacturing processes together from the very beginning. This allows us to create designs suited for manufacturing and to continuously advance our production platform.

YOUR ROLE
You develop products such as cooler boxes and combination ladders, etc., which are manufactured on our production platform. This also includes the mechanical components and assemblies of the platform. From the outset, both aspects matter: how the product functions and how it is manufactured within our production platform.
The focus is on mechanical design and product development. Knowledge of mechatronics is a plus, in order to integrate mechanical solutions into automated systems.
YOUR TASKS
- Develop and design mechanical components and assemblies for our production systems and the products manufactured on them.
- Shape products and manufacturing processes together – with an eye toward production, assembly, and the handling of components on the production line.
- Clarify requirements within the project team and translate them into technical specifications.
- Design components and mechanisms and verify them using calculations, FEA analyses, and kinematic models.
- Build and test prototypes, and improve them in terms of function, reliability, and manufacturability.
- Collaborate with the electronics, control engineering, and software teams and coordinate technical interfaces as needed.
YOUR PROFILE
- A completed degree in mechanical engineering, mechatronics, or a comparable qualification.
- Interest in mechanical design, ideally in product development.
- Experience with CAD and simulation software (SolidWorks, Ansys, etc.)
- Team spirit and enjoyment of working within agile structures.
- Independent, reliable way of working and persistence in solving technical problems.
WHAT WE OFFER
- Room to shape things: Take on responsibility, contribute your own ideas, and help shape our products and manufacturing systems.
- Direct collaboration: Flat hierarchies, fast decisions, and direct exchange – on site and virtually.
- Open team culture: Freedom for your own ideas, an open culture around mistakes, and collaboration at eye level.
- Flexibility: Flexible working hours
- Free coffee and water
- Shared barbecue sessions on our sun terrace
