WHAT IS IT ABOUT?

MorgenDorf combines MorgenWerk and MorgenFarm to create flexible and largely self-sufficient communities. Mixed living, production, food cultivation and good social interaction are made possible by short distances and in harmony with the surrounding nature.

These are central features of traditional village structures. MorgenDorf translates these structures with fundamentally new technical approaches to a contemporary livable standard that directly addresses the causes of rural exodus. Hill-like basic structures open up the third dimension in nature-like design variations.

The inner area is used for activities that do not require direct sunlight – MorgenWerk, MorgenFarm, entertainment, infrastructure with autonomous goods traffic and separate passenger transport via MorgenWerk shuttles. The outer shell offers space for a variety of residential structures, with front gardens, outdoor restaurants and footpaths. The flexible basic structures allow for growth in height and expansion.

CONCEPT STUDY “WERRACAMPUS”

In 2022, the “WerraCampus” concept study was created in relation to an existing site in Meiningen (Thuringia).

The vision of a MorgenDorf for multifunctional use for housing, production, vertical farming with a marketplace and restaurants, as well as open workspaces and other areas, was visually implemented on a site already partially built on with a production facility using MorgenWerk basic modules in collaboration with a Berlin architecture firm.

ECOSYSTEM MODUSMORGEN

Any number of morning villages can come together to form larger communities or organically growing cities. Inter-municipal transport of goods and materials is carried out by autonomous MorgenWerk shuttles in tubes, which can run above ground or underground in an environmentally friendly manner. This can also be adapted for the transport of people.

ModusMorgen offers the opportunity to create environmentally sustainable and future-proof alternatives for all sections of the population, ensuring healthy nutrition and livable housing and employment opportunities. Developing countries and emerging nations in particular can thus skip the bleak phases of land-consuming industrialization of earlier structures. This will significantly reduce incentives for migration. In this way, ModusMorgen creates lasting added value that is geared towards responsible intergenerational justice and global sustainability.

To achieve this, however, economic and social scenarios must also be realigned towards a well-considered value orientation.

This is the more difficult task.
